  • Why do bees Swarm?

    Feb-2026

Bees swarm primarily to reproduce and establish new colonies when their current hive becomes overcrowded or when resources are plentiful.

During this process, the queen and a large group of worker bees leave the original hive to find a new home, ensuring the survival and growth of the bee population.

    Some bee swarming facts

    • Swarming bees are generally docile and less likely to sting, as they are not defending a hive.
    • They may stay in one location for a few hours to a few days while scouts look for a new nesting site.

If you see a swarm, please call us so that we can safely remove it, and give the bees a great place to live.
